Starting from the Place Saint Michel, we will go back in time together: antiquity, the Middle Ages, the 16th century, the 20th century… We will go to all the nooks and crannies of the Ile de la Cité, passing by its sumptuous monuments.
Since the Middle Ages, the Ile de la Cité has been the seat of royal and religious power. We will discover the Conciergerie and its medieval towers, and the Sainte Chapelle, a jewel of Gothic architecture. Passing by the atypical flower market, we will then go to admire the highlight of the Ile de la Cité: the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris.
If we feel like it, in the middle of the visit we will go and taste the best ice cream in Paris which is on another island that we will introduce to you: the Saint Louis island. We will then resume our visit on the Ile de la Cité, heading towards the Palais de Justice. We will discover together the charming Place Dauphine and finally the Pont Neuf, the oldest stone bridge in Paris.
Throughout the visit we will also talk about the myths and legends that inhabit the streets of the Ile de Cité, such as the famous legend of the barber of Rue Chanoinesse… But let’s keep all the mystery alive for our visit!
