The Louvre museum is the largest museum in the world and the most visited. It’s also 403 rooms , 243.000m2 floorboard, 14.5km of galleries, 10.000 steps, 410 windows, 3.000 keyholes.
To be able to see all everything in the Louvre, that is to say 38000 works of art on show ( only 10% of the whole collection) spending only 10 seconds per art piece, you would need 3 days and 2 nights non stop to see everything.
CLASSIC TOUR 2h/2h30
We’ll meet at the feet of the Equestrian statue of Louis XIV, in front of the pyramid.We’ll go through secrity and enter the museum together.
First, we’ll start our tour by discovering the foundations of the medieval Louvre and its secrets. We’ll then head towards the collection of roman and greek antique sculptures, among which masterpieces such as the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. The, we’ll discover the incredible collection of Italian Renaissance paintings, with its masterpieces from Raphaël, Leonardo da Vinci… Of course we’ll stop and talk about the famous Mona Lisa too. We’ll admire together the magnificent gallery of Apollo, built under the reign of Louis XIV. And we’ll end with the masterpieces of the french Romanticism and Neoclassicism such as the Coronation of Napoleon or the Liberty leading the people.
EXTENDED TOUR 3H/3H30
After discovering the highlights of the Louvre, we’ll add a little bit more to your visit. We’ll bring you though the Egyptian collection and into the Richelieu Wing, where you’ll discover the french collection of XVIIth century sculptures, but also the flamish paintings including the beautiful Marie de’Medici cycle by Rubens. We’ll finish our guided tour in the incredible Napoleon’s III apartments.
