Meet your guide at the metro station L13 Champs-Élysées Clemenceau’s exit to discover one of the most prestigious avenues in the world and its history. This visit will also be a good pretext to talk about the history of urban planning in Paris.
After presenting the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, we will stroll through the gardens of the Champs Élysées. We’ll stop in front of the magnificent façade of the Champs Elysées’ oldest hotel: the Marquise de la Païva’s.
Strolling along the cafés, the Fouquet’s, the famous cabaret Lido and luxury boutiques, we will walk up the Champs Élysées until we reach its iconic monument: the Arc de Triomphe. We will talk about the history of the monument, and the great historical events that took place there, such as the funeral of Victor Hugo in 1885. We will then climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to admire the magnificent view.
