The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Élysées are emblematic monuments of the History of France and Paris.
There is nothing like a guided tour of the most beautiful avenue in the world and an ascent to the Arc de Triomphe, which from the top of its 284 steps offers a breathtaking view of this emblematic area of Paris.
After presenting the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, we will stroll through the gardens of the Champs Élysées. We’ll stop in front of the magnificent façade of the Champs Elysées’ oldest hotel: the Marquise de la Païva’s.
Strolling along the cafés, the Fouquet’s, the famous cabaret Lido and luxury boutiques, we will walk up the Champs Élysées until we reach its iconic monument: the Arc de Triomphe. We will talk about the history of the monument, and the great historical events that took place there, such as the funeral of Victor Hugo in 1885. We will then climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to admire the magnificent view.
This tour is a private tour. You can choose to combine this Napoleon-themed tour with the visit of the Invalides. Or choose to combine it with the visit of “Art under the Occupation in Paris”
