Vincent Van Gogh arrived in Auvers sur Oise in 1890 and spent exactly 70 days there. 70 days during which he painted 76 paintings, made 30 drawings, wrote 60 letters to his brother and mother, and ended his life.
This village of the Val d’Oise is today impregnated with the influence of impressionist artists such as Daubigny who lived there for 20 years, but especially Van Gogh who left a lasting memory.
